- Some movements from the G major Partita by J. S. Bach. These were taken in June of 2005 in Madrid.

Sarabande

Corrente

Tempo di Minuetta

Passepied

- Beethoven’s E flat piano quartet (string version of the wind quintet). Taken in June of 2007 in Madrid, with my chamber music partners from school. (Names withheld until I have their permission)

Beethoven op. 16, first movement

- Schafe konnen sicher wieden by J. S. Bach, with Dr. Francisco Rocafuerte.  Encore from perfomance of “The Planets” by Gustav Holst, McAllen TX, November of 2009:

- George Gershwin’s second prelude: “Blue Lullaby”. Encore from performance of Rhapsody in Blue in Mexico, January of 2009:

- Consolation number 3, by Franz Liszt. Played as an encore for a performance of Liszt’s Totentanz in Mexico, November of 2011. If the orchestra seems dressed strangely, it’s because it was a “Día de Muertos” concert, and many member of the orchestra wore disguises. In fact, conductor Armando Pesqueira came out of a coffin at the beginning of the concert! It was quite a lot of fun.

From that same performance, my favorite variation from Liszt’s Totentanz:

- Here I am completely slaughtering Beethoven’s 22nd sonata. This was my first public performance of this work. Recorded in December of 2006 in Madrid.

Beethoven op. 54, in F major

- From Schumann’s Waldszenen, a short little piece. Recorded in March of 2005 in Madrid.

Einsame Blumen

- A couple of Scriabin etudes from op. 8. Recorded December of 2005 in Madrid.

Op. 8, number 3. In b minor

Op. 8, number 4 in b major

- The Alban Berg piano sonata. Taken July of 2007 in Morelia.

Sonata op. 1

- Rhapsody in Blue, January 2009 in Mexico.

I have seen Ahmed playing many times, among them I remember one special occasion when he was at my house and he suddenly saw a little electronic keyboard piano on my livingroom’s floor! he picked it up turned it on and started to play. We were amazed by such a nice melody coming out of the dusty little piece of crap that was being played by master hands (I remember you complaining about the lack of keys hahaha). Thanks for such a great memory Ahmed! Best Wishes!
